Kieron handles patent work in all aspects of chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, pigments, plant protection products, inorganic materials, oil and fuel additives and construction materials. He works with a variety of clients including universities, SMEs and large companies.
Kieron drafts new patent applications and handles filing and prosecution of patent applications at the UK Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office (EPO). He has experience of attacking and defending patents in EPO opposition and appeal proceedings, particularly in the area of inorganic materials, petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals. He also handles worldwide patent portfolios and has experience in providing freedom to operate and due diligence advice. The Legal 500 identifies Kieron as a “recommended individual”.
Kieron joined J A Kemp in 2002 and became a partner in 2015.
