Jakob joined J A Kemp as a trainee patent attorney in 2019 and is based in the firm’s London office.
Jakob studied at the University of Cambridge for a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace and Aerothermal Engineering, gaining knowledge in a wide range of areas including aerodynamics, thermodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, material science and vibrational mechanics. His final year research project focused on simulation of photon transport in a nuclear reactor.
Jakob organised the highly respected summer research programme Research Academy for Young Scientists in Sweden two years in a row. Jakob also spent two summers doing an internship in hydraulics focusing on the impact of viscosity in hydraulic systems. Jakob is fluent in Swedish.
