Sally obtained her Master's degree from Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, where she was awarded the Rosemary Murray Scholarship. Her PhD project focussed on sustainable synthesis, investigating the use of biomass feedstocks and using both traditional and biocatalytic chemistry to synthesise pharmaceutical intermediates and pigments. She has also carried out research projects in protein biophysics, biochemistry and computational chemistry, and has knowledge of a wide range of disciplines including organic, biological, pharmaceutical, inorganic and polymer chemistry. She is currently a Trainee Patent Attorney and her work includes filing and prosecuting patent applications.
Sally joined J A Kemp as a Trainee Patent Attorney in 2017 and works in the firm’s London office.
