Unified Patent Court (UPC) issues draft Code of Conduct
24 May 2016
Following consultation with the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) and other professional bodies including the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA), a draft Code of Conduct for representatives who appear before the UPC has been published. The document sets out the general principles under which dealings with the UPC should be conducted. This is another step towards the UPC becoming operational in 2017. J A Kemp’s European Patent Attorneys and members of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group are looking forward to representing our clients in this new forum once the UPC is operational.
