30 April 2015
J A Kemp Partner and Trade Mark Attorney Tom Albertini is a speaker on the main programme of the International Trademark Association (INTA) 2015 conference which is being held this year in San Diego, California, from 2 May to 6 May. Tom is one of a panel of speakers for a session titled “The Non-Profit Industry – Non-Profit Trademark Protection and Non-Profit Association Brand Challenges” in the morning session on 6 May. Tom was chosen to speak on this topic because of his client base in the non-profit sector and his expertise in the particular challenges faced by non-profit organisations when protecting and enforcing their IP rights. The other J A Kemp partners attending INTA this year are James Fish (Head of the firm’s Trade Marks and Designs Group), Ben Mooneapillay (Trade Marks Partner) and Alan Bryson (Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group).
INTA is the world’s leading association for trade mark professionals, with around 6,500 member organisations, representing some 30,000 trade mark professionals worldwide. The INTA conference is the main global event bringing together experts in trade mark protection and related IP issues. The 2015 conference in San Diego is set to be the largest in INTA’s history, with over 9,700 delegates attending from over 150 countries.
