Partner Appointments

J A Kemp is pleased to announce the appointment of four new partners: Dr Anthony Duckett, Kieron Grehan, Chris Milton and Dr Graham Lewis.

Anthony Duckett is returning to J A Kemp after spending the past nine years working elsewhere in private practice.  He first joined J A Kemp in 1992, becoming a partner in 1998.

Anthony handles patent work in the fields of life sciences and chemistry, covering a broad range of technologies including pharmaceuticals, polymers, electroluminescent devices, electrochemical cells, fuel and lubricant additives, catalysts, dyestuffs, agrochemicals, food chemistry, chemical processes, refrigeration systems, and general organic and inorganic chemistry.

Kieron Grehan handles patent work in all aspects of chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, pigments, plant protection products, inorganic materials, oil and fuel additives and construction materials.

Chris Milton handles patent work in all aspects of chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, catalysts, drug formulations and delivery science.

Graham Lewis works across a diverse range of biotechnology and life sciences subject matter, particularly focusing on immunology.  Graham’s areas of technical speciality include allergy and autoimmunity, with extensive patent drafting and prosecution experience in the fields of peptide immunotherapy, antibodies and related immunomodulatory agents, and genomics.

The arrival of Anthony Duckett and the promotion of Kieron Grehan and Chris Milton adds to the strength and depth at partner level of J A Kemp’s Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals Group, which is currently made up of 15 qualified attorneys and four trainee attorneys.  Graham Lewis’s promotion is the latest positive development in the firm’s Biotechnology and Life Sciences Group, which recruited three associates from other firms last year and now consists of 17 qualified attorneys and eight trainee attorneys.
