Isobel is a UK and European Patent Attorney, with extensive experience in the profession. She has worked for clients of all sizes, from large corporates to smaller UK based firms, as well as acting for private inventors and investors. Isobel advises on the strategic use of IP as a commercial tool and the management of IP portfolios. Her work often involves drafting and filing patent applications, patent prosecution, and providing freedom to operate opinions. She also has a wealth of experience of representing clients in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office.
Isobel has been involved in a diverse range of technologies in the chemical field including printing ink compositions, polymer chemistry and laundry and dishwasher detergents. She has also worked on inventions relating to drug delivery and medical devices, and new chemical entities in the pharmaceutical field.
Isobel joined J A Kemp in 2017 after working elsewhere in private practice. She works in Oxford and London.
